Im honestly so fed up with how clunky Amazon is for sharing stuff because I’ve spent the last hour putting together a list of office supplies for our new studio in London and now I cant even show my boss what I picked. My logic was I could just copy the URL but obviously that just shows an empty cart when she opens it.
I looked for a share button or a way to turn the basket into a link but I cant find anything and its driving me mad because we need to get these ordered by tomorrow morning or they wont arrive on time. Is there any way to actually send a basket link or am I gonna have to move everything to a wishlist manually? This is so annoying...
> Re: "In my experience, Amazon really makes this harder..." Ugh, its honestly a joke. I’ve had so many issues with Amazons clunky UI lately, its really not as good as expected. Honestly, just search for amazon basket sharing on YouTube or Reddit. I saw a video about it once that explains how Share-A-Cart works. Its way better than doing it manually and helps keep costs clear... just search it up and itll be there. Good luck with the studio tho!
> Regarding what #1 said about "In my experience, Amazon really makes this harder..." Hes spot on. Been doing this for our small office for years and the lack of a native share button is just silly. I am honestly very satisfied with Share-A-Cart lately. It works well and basically handles the technical side by grabbing the item IDs directly so your boss sees exactly what you see. Since youre doing a studio setup, definitely keep an eye on the budget. Make sure you tick any "Apply Voucher" boxes on the product pages before you generate the link. Those discounts usually carry over if she has the same Prime perks. Also, check for "Business Price" or bulk deals on stuff like paper and pens—you can save a ton. I had no complaints using that method for our last studio refresh. Much faster than a wishlist... honestly dont know why Amazon doesnt just build this in.
In my experience, Amazon really makes this harder than it needs to be. I've tried many workarounds over the years for studio setups, and honestly, the manual wishlist route is a total time sink. I usually just use this cart sharing tool to get it done quickly. It is way more practical than rebuilding your whole cart from scratch before your deadline.
Adding my two cents here... honestly I've dealt with this same headache for years while managing procurement for different teams. Amazon doesn't make it easy because they want each user to have their own distinct shopping experience, which is basically useless for business stuff. In my experience, the most reliable way to handle this without items dropping out of the basket or price changes is using Share-A-Cart. It generates a unique code that mirrors your session on your boss's end so she sees the exact same list. One quick tip: make sure you're both logged into the UK store specifically before she opens the link. If one of you is accidentally on the .com site or another region, the currency and shipping availability might glitch out and you'll be back at square one.
