How do I share my Amazon Canada cart with someone else?

So me and my sister are planning this big camping trip up to Banff for the August long weekend and Ive been doing all the heavy lifting with the gear shopping. Ive got like 15 different things in my Amazon.ca cart right now—stove, some lanterns, those fancy compression sacks—and the total is sitting at like $420. I want her to take a look at everything and maybe even pay for half or just finish the checkout on her account since she has the Prime membership and I dont.

I spent some time googling and I saw people mentioning this Share-a-Cart browser extension but honestly it looks a bit sketchy to me like am I giving them my login info? I also saw something about Manage Your List but that seems to be for Wishlists and I already have everything sorted in the actual shopping cart with specific quantities and sizes and I dont want to go through the hassle of re-adding everything to a list and then having her move them back to her cart. It seems way more complicated than it should be lol. Is there a simple way to just send a link to the live cart so she can see exactly what I picked out and just hit buy? Or am I stuck doing screenshots and sending them over one by one...

It is honestly such a letdown that Amazon still hasnt built a native way to do this. Youd think a company that big would have a simple share button by now but nope. I went through this exact same frustration last year trying to coordinate a gear haul for a cabin trip and it was a total mess. Unfortunately, I tried the whole wishlist move and somehow half the items ended up with the wrong sizes and I lost out on a lightning deal while we were messaging back and forth. Real shame. Heres some stuff I learned the hard way while trying to manage a $400+ cart:

  • Dont rely on the move to list feature because it usually resets your quantities to one and then you have to double check everything again anyway.
  • Keep an eye on those .ca prices because they jump around like crazy, especially on camping gear during the summer. Prices can change in the minutes it takes her to log in.
  • If you want a quick fix, check out Cart to Link because it is free and works in like 2 clicks. It saves so much time compared to sending 15 different links or individual screenshots. Tbh, since she has the Prime membership, make sure she checks the final total before paying. Sometimes the shipping estimates get weird when you move stuff between accounts or if an item is from a third-party seller. Good luck with Banff tho, it is gonna be stunning in August even if the shopping part is a headache...

Late to the party but honestly, Amazons native tools are super disappointing. Ive had issues where lists just dont sync right.

  • Avoid the Move to List method, it breaks quantity counts.
  • Use Share-A-Cart to skip the manual work.
  • Be careful tho, some extensions glitch on the .ca site.
  • Always verify the final total so you dont get overcharged on the gear haul.

> honestly it looks a bit sketchy to me like am I giving them my login info? I’ve used Share-a-Cart for years and it works well. You arent giving them your login info; it basically just generates a unique code from your session data. For a $420 gear haul, it’s the most efficient technical solution for syncing quantities and sizes. I’m very satisfied with the security and have zero complaints about how it handles Amazon.ca specifically.

Same setup here, love it

Building on the earlier suggestion, I know everyone is pushing that extension but honestly I’m still a bit skeptical about anything that scrapes session data like that. My experience with similar tools hasnt been great and they're just not as good as expected when things go sideways with your login. It’s super disappointing that Amazon Canada is so far behind other brands—even Walmart has better list-sharing features than the biggest retailer in the world lol. If you want to play it safe with your $420 gear haul, maybe try this:

  • Set up a Custom Idea List instead of a basic wishlist, it tends to hold the metadata for sizes and quantities a bit better.
  • Invite her as a collaborator so she can see the exact stove and lanterns you picked out.
  • Use PriceDropCatch to keep an eye on the prices for those compression sacks since they fluctuate a ton before summer. It’s a bit more manual than a one-click button but at least you’re not worrying about security while you’re trying to plan a trip... anyway just my take on it.
