my move to Berlin is happening this Friday and I'm panicking because I need my dad to pay for the kitchen stuff but I cant find a button to share the cart.

sorry if this is a total newbie question but is there a tool to just send him a link to my amazon de basket?

Wait, quick question before you dive in - are you doing this from a phone or your laptop? It kinda changes how you set it up. Regarding what #1 said about "Just use the Share-a-Cart extension", Ive been super satisfied with Share-a-Cart myself. It works well and I have zero complaints about security, which is usually my biggest concern with these tools.

Just use the Share-a-Cart extension. It's basically the easiest way to send the basket. Most tools from that brand work fine. Good luck with the move!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I actually had a similar scramble when I moved to Munich a couple years back. My dad is super old school and honestly gets a bit spooked by installing new browser extensions or clicking weird links. I tried the basic way first but he kept messing up the quantities in the basket. I kinda disagree that just sending the link is enough if your dad is anything like mine. You really gotta make sure the 'receive' side is as simple as possible. I ended up using a handy tool that generates a simple code he could just paste in. It worked well and I have no complaints because it kept the budget exactly where we planned. A few things to keep in mind for the kitchen haul:

  • Check if the items are Prime eligible so you dont get hit with five different shipping fees.
  • Make sure your Berlin address is already added to his address book to save him the typing.
  • Keep an eye on the 'frequently bought together' section because sometimes you forget the small stuff like spatulas. I've been very satisfied with this method since it avoids that awkward back-and-forth about what's actually in the cart. Moving is stressful enough without fighting over a toaster. Good luck with the Friday move... Berlin is a blast once you get through the boxes!
