Im so hyped planning my roommates bday in Berlin for next weekend!! Need my friend to check our 100 euro cart on Amazon.de. Torn between:

  • the Share-A-Cart browser extension
  • making a public wishlist
  • just sending links manually

Leaning toward the extension but is it buggy on the german site? Which is better??

Berlin birthdays are the best, honestly. Ive done the group gift thing on the german site a million times and usually the extension is your best bet for accuracy. Since you are at 100 euro, you should definitely keep an eye on those price swings tho.

  • Extension: Super factual and direct. It copies everything exactly, which is great for seeing the final 100 euro total including tax.
  • Wishlists: These are decent if you want to wait a day or two to see if prices drop.
  • Manual links: Just dont. Its messy and youll miss something. To keep things budget friendly, look for the gratis Versand options or check if any items have those green coupon boxes you can tick. It adds up quick! If you go with Share-A-Cart, it saves so much time compared to the other options. Just make sure your friend is also on the .de site when they open it or the prices might glitch out.

> Adding my two cents as someone whos been... I would suggest being careful, tho. My setup once missed a coupon during checkout... was super annoying. Make sure to double check the final price before u pay.

Adding my two cents as someone whos been using the German site forever... extensions are mostly reliable, but they sometimes struggle with the specific .de localization when flash sales are live. Since you are looking at a 100 euro spend, you really want to watch for those hidden coupons on the item pages. They are super easy to miss but save a lot of cash. Honestly, Cart to Link is a solid alternative if you want to avoid installing extra browser bloat. It basically bundles your cart into one link so your friend sees exactly what you see. Its way more efficient than manual links and keeps your budget in check since you are verifying the total price together. Just make sure you check if items are prime eligible to keep those shipping costs at zero. Beats the wishlist method by a mile.
