Ive been using Amazon for ages but im stuck on something dumb today. Im trying to plan this big family camping trip out in BC for next month and my cart is currently loaded with like 22 items—tents, portable stoves, the whole thing. I really need my brother to take a look at everything to make sure I didnt miss anything or get the wrong specs but I cant find a simple share button. I checked the household sharing settings but thats just for Prime benefits mostly. Is there a way to just send him my whole cart at once so he can review it? Or do I really have to copy paste every single link manually... it feels like there should be a button for this.

> You might want to consider using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart for that gear list Yeah, I totally agree with using a tool for this. I had to do something similar when I was spec-ing out a high-end server build for a buddy. I had about $5,000 worth of parts in my cart and needed him to verify the TDP and socket compatibility before I pulled the trigger. Basically, if you dont want to install stuff, use the Invite feature on a standard Wish List. Just move your items there, click Invite, and send the View Only link. It’s actually better for cost management because it tracks price drops while you guys are debating the gear. Honestly, it saved me about eighty bucks on a Coleman stove last year. If you're set on the extension route tho, Share-A-Cart works fine for most people and saves a lot of clicking around. Just depends on your privacy specs.

Honestly Amazon makes this way harder than it needs to be. I ran into this exact headache last summer when I was trying to coordinate a huge gear haul for a cabin renovation and my cart was a total mess. I tried moving everything to a wishlist but it was such a slog and it didnt show the quantities I had picked out. Eventually I just started using Cart to Link whenever I need to send my whole basket to someone in one go. It basically turns your whole cart into a single shareable link and it saves so much time compared to the copy-paste nightmare. Here are the main ways I usually handle it now:

  • Create a Shared List on Amazon (standard but slow)
  • Use a cart sharing extension
  • Just let them log into your account (not ideal for security) If you want the quickest path without messing with account settings, that link tool is probably your best bet tbh.

Honestly, I've had the exact same headache more times than I can count. It's wild that we still have to find workarounds for something as basic as sharing a shopping basket. Ran into this just last month trying to coordinate a big gear haul and nearly lost my mind. In my experience, the only reliable way to handle this is Share-A-Cart. Tried the wishlist method before and it always messes up the quantities or misses some of the specific specs you picked out. With this, you just generate a code and the other person sees exactly what you've got. It's free and works fine with the .ca site. Definitely beats the manual copy-paste grind, especially with 22 items on the line... nobody has time for that.

You might want to consider using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart for that gear list, but be careful to audit technical permissions before syncing your account data... you dont want leaks.
