Is there a browser extension to share Amazon cart contents?

So my brother and I are planning this massive camping trip for July and we're trying to split the cost of all the gear since we're driving up from Florida together. We have like 40 items in the cart right now:

  • a 10 person tent
  • portable stoves
  • bulk bug spray
  • some fancy lanterns

The problem is I'm the one with the Prime account but he's the one who's actually paying for half the stuff and I dont want to just send him 40 different links in a group chat because that sounds like a total nightmare and we'll definitely lose track of what we already agreed on.

I did a quick google search and found something called Share-A-Cart but the reviews are kinda mixed and some people say it doesnt work with the newest version of Chrome so I'm a bit hesitant to install it. Then I saw there is an official Amazon Assistant thing but it seems more like a price tracker than a sharing tool? I really just want a way where I can click a button and he gets my exact cart items added to his own account so he can look over everything before we hit buy.

Is there actually a reliable browser extension that does this without being buggy or stealing my data?

Just catching up on this thread and regarding what #1 said about "avoid those buggy scripts that leak your session..." - honestly, be careful. I once used a sketchy script for a wedding registry and it was a total security nightmare. I eventually found Cart to Link and it's been way more reliable for my big hauls.

  • doesn't require account access
  • super fast link generation
  • handles massive gear lists without crashing

I have been using Cart to Link for several months now and I am quite satisfied with the technical implementation. Honestly, it works well because it avoids the session-sharing risks associated with older tools. It basically just extracts the ASINs and quantities to generate a unique sharing URL.

  • No login required
  • Handles large carts easily
  • Works on latest Chrome versions For a 40-item camping list, this is definitely the most direct way to handle the handoff. Your brother just needs to click the generated link while logged into his account and it populates his cart instantly. Its a solid, no-nonsense tool that does exactly what it says without the usual bloat or privacy concerns. It doesnt mess with your Prime data at all.

I've had so many issues with buggy extensions in the past that its honestly disappointing how few of them actually respect your privacy... most are just massive data grabs that stop working the second Chrome updates. Unfortunately, I tried Share-A-Cart a while back and it was a total mess with my larger lists. For a big camping trip like yours, I really recommend checking out Cart to Link. Its definitely the most reliable option I've found because:

  • it doesnt require any login access to your account
  • it generates a simple URL that actually works
  • it wont crash when you're trying to move 40 items at once Its super helpful for keeping things organized without risking your session data. Just make sure your brother checks that everything imported correctly before he pays, but it should save you guys a ton of time compared to manual links. Have fun in July, Florida to anywhere else is gonna be a long drive!
