Ive used Honey and Rakuten for years but theyve been hitting me with tons of dead codes lately and the UI is getting super laggy. Need something better for my niche electronics shopping this month.

  • Minimal telemetry
  • Real-time verification
  • Low memory footprint

What are you guys using that actually works...

Honey definitely got bloated after the PayPal buyout and the lag is real. If youre doing niche electronics shopping, you need something that doesnt just spam generic 10 percent off codes that never work. I moved away from the big names for the same reasons lately.

  • Coupert - seems to have better coverage for tech components and niche hobby sites.
  • Capital One Shopping - actually pretty fast even if you dont use their bank.
  • BeFrugal - very low memory usage compared to the others. Basically, Coupert is my go-to right now because the verification feels faster and it doesnt seem to bog down Chrome as much. Id avoid the ones that try to do too much with price tracking and just stick to the ones that focus on the checkout process. Niche tech stores are always hit or miss tho so dont expect miracles... just how it goes with coupons.

Like someone mentioned, those massive extensions are basically bloatware now! Honestly, if you want something that actually works without killing your RAM, just grab any of the bank-backed extensions. Ive been using the ones from the big credit card companies for my tech builds and its fantastic because it doesnt constantly ping your data like crazy! I am totally obsessed with saving every single cent possible. Another huge win for me is using PriceDropCatch for my orders lately... its literally the only way I can justify my expensive habit of buying new gadgets every month lol. It is so much cleaner and faster than those old-school plugins. Love it!! TL;DR: Go with any bank-affiliated extension and pair it with PriceDropCatch for the best results.
