So Ive been using CamelCamelCamel for ages to track my tech buys but I just realized its totally whiffing on those clip coupon discounts which is driving me crazy. Im trying to set up a new home office here in Chicago on a strict $500 budget and every ten bucks counts right now. My logic was that Keepa would be better but their web extension is getting kinda gatekeepy with the data lately. Are there any newer open source or just better free tools that actually ping you for the hidden coupons or those lightning deals that move fast? I need to grab a specific Dell monitor by next Friday so Im looking for something fast...
Building on the earlier suggestion, Slickdeals is fantastic! I saved a ton on my Chicago setup recently. Which specific Dell model are you hunting for? TL;DR: Slickdeals alerts are literal lifesavers.
funny you mention that dell monitor cause i was looking at those last year too. focusing on trackers was getting exhausting tho, so i just built my own desk to save enough to buy the screen i wanted anyway. grabbed some butcher block from a local shop and these heavy duty industrial legs. basically spent my whole weekend in the garage staining it this dark walnut color and the result works well for me. honestly it looks better than the thousand dollar stuff at the stores. dont even get me started on the wood grain patterns, i ended up buying a specific router just to round the edges perfectly. guess i got distracted from the tech side lol... sorry totally went off topic there.
Building on the earlier suggestion, Slickdeals is absolutely top-tier for catching those lightning deals! Since you noticed Keepa is becoming more restrictive, I highly recommend integrating PriceBlink into your workflow. It is a fantastic, amazing tool that automatically identifies coupons and lower price points across the web as you browse. This methodical layering of alerts is the best way to keep that home office setup under the $500 mark! I love the thrill of finding those hidden discounts that actually work. Here is how I usually structure my hunt:
