I've been looking at tracking an espresso machine before my Toronto move next month and I'm stuck. I read CamelCamelCamel is the go-to but then people say Keepa is better for international stuff?
My logic was that Camel is simpler, but maybe Keepa handles the .ca site better for weird price drops... any ideas?
Ive been using Keepa for years and honestly its far superior for technical tracking on the Canadian site. I am very satisfied with how it handles stock level data which is vital for espresso gear. The extension works well and integrates directly onto the page. For high-end stuff, you really need that granular historical data to see if a sale is actually legit.
To add to the point above: Keepa really is the heavy lifter for the Canadian site. I was super satisfied when it caught a massive price drop on my Breville last year right before my move. It works well because you can see if the sale price is actually just the normal price from a few months back. I honestly wouldnt buy anything over a hundred bucks without checking that history first. It saves a ton of stress and basically paid for my first few bags of coffee. Quick question tho, what kind of machine are you actually eyeing? Like, are you going for a super-automatic or are you looking to dive into the hobbyist world with a manual setup? Also, whats your hard limit on the budget? Prices for espresso gear in Canada can be pretty wild so knowing your range helps narrow things down.
