Seriously which browser extension actually works for tracking Walmart price drops without glitching out every five minutes? Im trying to snag a new 65 inch TV for my brothers 30th birthday in about three weeks and the prices are driving me insane. I keep checking manually but I work long shifts at the hospital and by the time I get home the Rollback price is usually gone.

I am torn between using Honey or Capital One Shopping but both have issues. Honey seems like it only cares about coupons that never actually work at checkout and Capital One is constantly popping up with better deals that end up being some random refurbished unit on eBay which I dont want. I also looked at the Slickdeals extension but the alerts feel super delayed lately and I miss the window anyway.

  • Honey
  • Capital One Shopping
  • Slickdeals

My budget is strictly under 500 bucks and I need something that actually pings me the second the price hits my target since I live in a high demand area where stuff sells out fast. Does one of these handle Walmarts weird regional pricing better than the others or am I just wasting my time with extensions entirely... I just need one that actually tracks the price history accurately so I know if I am actually getting a deal or if they just hiked it up yesterday to lower it today.

TL;DR: Skip the big names and use a dedicated tracker with price history charts to avoid fake sales!! If you want to stay under that 500 dollar budget without getting scammed by fake discounts, you need real data. Honey and Capital One are mostly just data scrapers for coupons and I dont trust them with my info! I absolutely love using a price drop tool because it actually shows the history so you can see if Walmart spiked the price right before a Rollback happened. It is amazing for spotting those fake deals and keeping your data safe. Since you are busy at the hospital and need speed, check out:

  • Dedicated price trackers that specialize in Big Box stores
  • Extensions that let you set custom alerts for local stock levels
  • Tools that dont sell your data to every third party Safety first! I only trust stuff that doesnt track my bank info. Good luck, a 65 inch for under 500 is a fantastic goal!

Just found this thread and honestly its ridiculous how these retailers operate. I spent weeks analyzing price shifts for my own setup and it was a total nightmare.

  • Walmart algorithms change prices faster than any extension can scrape
  • Most tracking data is basically useless due to regional lag
  • Companies just dont care about the consumer experience anymore Its such a scam and really drives me crazy.

To add to the point above: the regional lag is definitely the biggest hurdle with Walmart specifically. I have seen prices vary by 50 bucks just based on which zip code the extension thinks youre in. You really gotta be careful because sometimes these extensions cache old data and you click through only to see the price jump back up in your cart. If you are trying to stay under 500 for a 65 inch, you might want to consider looking at specific model numbers rather than just general searches. Walmart loves to have those special SKU numbers for Rollbacks that are slightly different from the main retail ones. Are you looking for a specific brand like Hisense or TCL, or are you okay with anything as long as its 4k? I used a handy tool recently to verify some history and it definitely helps avoid those fake sales. Also, make sure to check if the shipping is actually available to your area because sometimes those low prices are in-store only deals that trackers miss. Just keep an eye on the sold by section too... if its not Walmart directly, the tracking gets even messier. Good luck with the birthday hunt!

I've been chasing deals like this for years and honestly Walmart is basically the final boss of price tracking. Its a total headache. In my experience, relying on those mainstream extensions for price accuracy is just a recipe for heartbreak... they are fine for a tiny coupon but usually fail for a 500 dollar TV. A few things I've learned the hard way over the years:

  • Never trust the in stock notification if it is more than a couple minutes old
  • Avoid extensions that dont let you set a specific zip code
  • Watch out for the third party seller trap where the tracker pings a low price but it is actually some random seller with zero ratings I remember trying to grab a Vizio a few years back. The extension swore it was 400 bucks. Pure lie. By the time I clicked through, it was already back to 550. Total buzzkill. If you really want that 65 inch for your brother, stick to something that specializes in raw price history rather than just discount codes. Just gotta be ready to jump on it immediately.
