Finally upgrading from my beat-up iPhone 13 Pro Max—the weight on that thing was killer—and I'm paranoid about the screen cracking again. I've been digging through some drop-test videos and forum threads, but honestly, everything for the 17 Pro Max seems like a carbon copy of last year's designs. I checked out the Mous Limitless and the Spigen Tough Armor, but I’m worried they haven't accounted for the extra lens depth on this new sensor. My logic was to find something with a serious raised bezel that isn't too chunky—I need that balance between protection and pocketability. Has anyone found a top-rated case that actually feels premium but can survive a sidewalk drop? Also must be MagSafe compatible...

ngl this comes up a lot every launch cycle. search the forum and youll see a million threads but the short answer is Caudabe Synthesis iPhone 17 Pro Max. its basically the gold standard for minimal bulk with actual protection. if you want leather vibes but real drop ratings check the Nomad Rugged Case iPhone 17 Pro Max. both have massive camera lips for that new sensor so you wont scratch the glass...

Focus on these for maximum bezel clearance and MagSafe strength:

  • Mous Limitless 6.0 Aramid Fiber
  • Dbrand Grip Case iPhone 17 Pro Max Both survive 10-foot drops.

> My logic was to find something with a serious raised bezel that isn't too chunky Marketing departments pay for "best of" lists, so ignore the usual hype. Check the crowd-sourced drop data on the r/iPhone subreddit or the detailed teardowns on MobileReviewsEh. Real-world corner impacts often bypass the bezel entirely. Are you prioritizing corner protection or face-down clearance? What is your maximum thickness limit in millimeters?
