Recommended screen protectors for the foldable Motorola Razr 2026 display?

I'm finally pulling the trigger on the Razr 2026 after rocking an iPhone 13 Mini for years. I loved the Mini's size, but the battery has become a total disaster and I'm honestly just tired of squinting at such a tiny display when I'm trying to multitask. The foldable form factor seems like the perfect middle ground, but I am super paranoid about that inner screen—especially since I've heard horror stories about the 'crease' area.

I've done a bit of digging and saw some people recommending the Whitestone Dome 'Silk' protectors, while others swear by the basic TPU films you find on Amazon. The problem is, half the reviews for the TPU ones say they start peeling at the hinge after like two weeks of heavy folding, and the Whitestone stuff looks incredibly finicky to install (I'm definitely not the most patient person with those UV lights). I also saw some 'liquid glass' stuff mentioned on a random blog, but that feels like total snake oil for a screen that literally bends—I can't imagine it actually does anything for impact.

I'm looking for something that won't ruin the tactile feel of the screen—budget isn't really an issue if it saves me from a $500 repair bill—but I'm worried about the adhesive messing with the factory layer. Has anyone found a protector that actually stays flush against the crease without bubbling? Or am I better off just trusting the factory-installed one and hoping for the best?

> Or am I better off just trusting the factory-installed one? Shop wanted $500 — crazy — but Supershieldz TPU Film is $10, beating Whitestone Dome Silk Screen Protector (way too pricey) on value. Saved me a ton, plus the cost-per-year is better.

> Supershieldz TPU Film is $10 Like someone mentioned, those are cheap, but ngl Whitestone Dome Silk Screen Protector is tougher — wait, no — actually Spigen NeoFlex Film stays flush way better than Supershieldz TPU Film.

HUGE mistake. the adhesive was way too thick and literally three days later i heard this sickening CRACK when i flipped it open. the screen didnt die but it looked like a spiderweb right across the hinge. tbh i almost cried. nowadays i just let the factory one ride until it starts bubbling. on my Motorola Razr 2024 it took about eight months before i saw that tiny air gap in the middle and yeah the clicking sound it makes when you close it is STRESSFUL. i tried one of those diy kits last year and spent like two hours in a steamy bathroom trying to get the dust out only for it to peel in a week anyway. these things are just fragile by nature. if you mess with it too much you end up making it worse. just keep it clean and dont use your fingernails to scroll... thats what usually kills the soft layers. its a weird lifestyle shift coming from an iphone but you kinda just get used to the anxiety after a while...
