Just picked up the new Moto G Stylus 2025 model and I'm honestly a bit paranoid about the screen. I work in a pretty dusty warehouse environment in Phoenix and I know how quickly sand and grit can just wreck a display if you're constantly dragging a stylus over it all day. I spent a good hour looking through some subreddits and tech blogs and everyone is saying different things which is just making me more confused lol. Some people swear by those thick tempered glass protectors because they're durable but then I saw a few reviews saying it makes the stylus lag or you have to press way harder which sounds like a nightmare for taking quick inventory notes. I also saw some mention of those matte film protectors but I'm worried they'll wear down the tip of the pen too fast since it's just plastic? My budget is around 30 bucks for both a better backup stylus and a solid protector that actually works. Is there a specific brand that doesn't kill the sensitivity or should I just stick with the film ones even if they're a pain to install? Also if anyone has a lead on a replacement stylus that actually fits the internal slot let me know...

I think those 0.33mm tempered glass protectors are exactly why people see lag. Not sure but someone told me the newer digitizers have slightly different touch sampling rates which might help. IIRC the internal slot dimensions havent changed since the 2024 model so replacements are probably interchangeable. Matte films provide better friction but theyll definitely chew through plastic nibs over time... just my experience.
