Upgrading from an old OnePlus 8 Pro. That thing was a tank until the screen finally gave out. The battery was also pretty much dead. I’m really excited for the OnePlus 12, especially for the camera upgrade. I need a solid case immediately. I’ve done some digging and saw the Spigen Tough Armor recommended everywhere. It looks super bulky though. I also looked at the Ringke Fusion but people say the drop protection is mid. I need something that balances protection without turning the phone into a literal brick.
Here is what I’m looking for:
- Price under $40.
- Heavy focus on protecting that giant camera bump.
- Slim enough for one-handed use.
- Grippy texture so I don't drop it.
- Works with screen protectors.
I'm worried about the curved glass. Most cases I find either look cheap or way too thick. I want to show off the Flowy Emerald color if possible, but protection comes first. Is there a middle ground between a thin silicone sleeve and a massive Otterbox? What are you guys using for the OnePlus 12 that actually fits well?

So funny you ask this — last summer I actually fumbled my phone into a literal creek and I swore Id never buy a 'pretty' case without real grip again. When I got the OP12 I was lowkey broke after the upgrade so I hunted for the best budget stuff that wouldnt hide that Flowy Emerald vibe. You really dont need to spend $50 to keep that glass safe...
- Poetic Guardian Case for OnePlus 12: This is my top pick because it has a clear back to show off the color but the bumpers are THICK. Usually around $20.
- TUDIA DualShield Grip for OnePlus 12: If you want grip this is the one. Its got textured ridges and the camera protection is better than Spigen tbh.
- Caseology Athlex for OnePlus 12: Super slim and has a unique sandstone feel so it wont slide. Takeaway: Save your cash and grab a Poetic or Tudia for the best camera protection under twenty bucks.

ngl everyone hypes Spigen like its the only brand out there but the reviews are lowkey paid tbh. @Reply #1 - good point! but if u wanna save cash and PROTECT that lens:
- Nillkin CamShield Prop for OnePlus 12: The lens cover is a total lifesaver.
- XUNDD Shockproof Case for OnePlus 12: Slim and shows off the emerald color. idk why people spend $40 for plastic when these dont break the bank...

^ This. Also, Ive been through like four different OnePlus phones since the 7 Pro days and honestly the clear case dream usually ends in yellow plastic heartbreak. Ngl the camera bump on the 12 is massive so you REALLY need to be careful with the fitment. Before I dive into recommendations tho, are you planning on using a tempered glass protector or just the pre-installed film? That curve makes a huge difference on whether a case will pop the edges off or not. I tried some slim clear ones years ago and they were garbage for protection, but things have gotten slightly better lately. If you dont get the right lip height, youre gonna regret it the first time it hits the pavement. TL;DR: Clear backs usually fail on drop protection or turn yellow, but Ringke Fusion-X for OnePlus 12 is basically the only middle ground that shows the Flowy Emerald color while having actual reinforced corners.
