Finally upgrading from my beat-up OnePlus 9 Pro—the screen is a spiderweb at this point because that phone was like a bar of soap—so I'm super hyped for the 13! I've been looking at the Spigen Tough Armor since everyone says it's the gold standard, but it looks so bulky in photos and I don't want to lose the sleek feel. My logic was to maybe go with a dbrand Grip, but I read some reviews saying the magnets for accessories can be weak? I really need something that protects that massive camera array without being a literal brick. Budget is around $30-40. Does anyone know if the official Sandstone case actually has a decent lip to protect the screen this time around?
I measured the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=dbrand+Grip+Case+ OnePlus+13&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">dbrand Grip Case OnePlus 13 at 13.5mm. It is significantly thinner than the Spigen.
It fits tighter.
This comes up a lot. Search the forum, theres a thread about this but the short answer is:
Theyre CHEAPER and better value tbh...
TL;DR: Get the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Spigen+Tough+Armor+ OnePlus+13&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor OnePlus 13. I have handled my own screen swaps for years; parts for the 9 Pro were $150. This case is $25 and provides better insurance than the $30 Sandstone. The Sandstone lip is too shallow for concrete drops. Stick to the Spigen to avoid a $200 repair bill.
