So I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the OnePlus 14 because my old Galaxy S10 is basically a paperweight at this point—the battery lasts maybe 3 hours if I'm lucky and the screen is starting to do this weird flickering thing. I’m honestly so excited for a phone that actually stays on, but I realized I might need a special charger to get those crazy fast speeds everyone talks about.
I have no idea where to start with this. I did a bit of googling and saw people talking about "SuperVOOC" 80W or 100W charging, but then I saw a random forum post saying I could just use a MacBook charger? My logic was that since they both use that little oval plug (USB-C, right?), it should be fine, but then someone else said that using the wrong brick will "slow charge" it or, worse, ruin the battery life over time. I’m really worried about that because the battery and the camera were the main reasons I spent the money on this. I need it to last! I'm planning on taking it on a big hiking trip next month so I need it to be reliable.
I’m kinda on a budget after buying the actual phone, but I’m willing to pay for the "right" one if it means I won't be tethered to a wall for two hours. I'm in a bit of a rush to get this ordered before my trip.
Sorry if these are dumb questions, I’ve just never had a phone this fancy before and the tech specs are honestly like a foreign language to me. I just want the fastest charge possible without breaking anything... what should I actually buy?
honestly just get the official OnePlus SuperVOOC 100W Dual Port Power Adapter to be SAFE. just make sure you double-check because generic cables kinda mess things up...
