been using camelcamelcamel for basically ever but lately the price alerts are coming in way too late or just not hitting at all for third party stuff. i need to grab a specific rtx 4070 for a video project starting monday and my budget is hard capped at 550 so i cant afford to miss a dip. i was thinking about just using keepa but the ui is kinda messy and i think some features are paid now? my logic was that there had to be a more lightweight tracker or maybe a script i can run myself because i need those real time updates. are there any other free scrapers that actually work fast for amazon or am i stuck with camel?

> Regarding what #1 said about "I have been tracking GPU prices for years..." Unfortunately, Keepas free tier is kinda limited for real-time stuff now. I had issues with delayed alerts when I was hunting for my last build tho, which was super frustrating. Quick tip: try a local page monitor extension to bypass server lag. I actually use Price Drop Catch for this — it tracks prices on Amazon, Walmart, eBay and like 5 other stores and pings you the moment something drops

I have been tracking GPU prices for years and honestly Keepa is still the absolute king for this kind of thing! Even though the interface is a bit cluttered the tracking speed is just incredible compared to others. You definitely need to install the browser extension instead of just using the website. It overlays the graph right on the Amazon page which makes it so much more efficient for hunting deals. Another fantastic tool I love is Distill Web Monitor. Since you mentioned being open to scripts this is a perfect middle ground. You can set it to check the price every few minutes locally in your browser. It is basically a custom scraper that triggers an alert the second the price element changes. I used it to snag my last card and it worked like a charm! It is way more reliable for third-party sellers than camel is these days.
