Im so hyped cause Im finally moving into my own place in Toronto next month and my friends offered to chip in for kitchen stuff which is huge since my budget is basically gone lol. So I was thinking there must be an easy way to just send them my whole Amazon Canada cart but my logic was apparently flawed. I read about Amazon Household but that seems to be for sharing Prime perks and then some say use a wishlist but that feels clunky when Im adding things every five minutes. Is there a browser extension or a hidden link for the Canadian site that lets someone see my live cart?

^ This. Also, I have been using Share-A-Cart for over a year and honestly am super satisfied. It works really well with the .ca site too.

  • Since its free, you wont waste any of your budget.
  • Your friends wont accidentally buy the same thing twice. Honestly such a lifesaver when you are moving... no complaints here!

Honestly, its super frustrating but there isnt a magic share my cart button on the Canadian site. I tried doing this exact same thing when I moved into my studio downtown last year and it was a total mess. My cousins wanted to help out with some small appliances and I thought I could just copy-paste the URL from my browser and be done with it. Spoiler alert: it doesnt work at all. They just saw their own empty carts when they clicked it. I felt so bad cause they were ready to buy and I basically wasted their afternoon. Then I tried looking into Amazon Household but that was a huge mistake imo. It basically merges some payment info and prime stuff, and its way too much personal access to give friends just for some kitchen spatulas. I love my friends but I dont want them having that much access to my account. It felt really unsafe to me. The reason a live link doesnt work natively is cause Amazon ties your shopping cart to your specific browser cookies and session ID for security. They dont want people accidentally sharing session data or sensitive account info with the public. Wishlists are the official way but they are honestly so clunky. You add something, it doesnt update right away, and half the time people end up buying the wrong thing. Its just not as good as expected. for anyone shopping with friends or doing a gift list, Cart to Link is worth trying.

Late to the party but I had the same issue when I was setting up my home office. I really dont like giving out my login info or messing with weird workarounds that might break. Honestly, Ive been using this cart sharing tool for a few months now and Im really satisfied with how it handles things. Its safe and just works well without any technical headaches. No complaints here at all. For the kitchen stuff youre looking for, Id just stick with a solid brand like Cuisinart for your basics. You cant really go wrong with any of their appliances for a first place. Just add whatever fits your style to the cart and share it... its way better than making a bunch of wishlists that people never look at anyway.
