Is there any way to actually share a live Amazon cart link with someone who doesnt have an account or just isnt logged in? Ive been using Amazon for basically forever and usually I just use the share button for individual items or just make a Wish List but Im trying to help my grandmother pick out some gardening supplies for her new greenhouse project in Arizona. Shes got about a $400 budget for tools and soil amendments and I already spent hours picking the stuff out.
The issue is she is super tech-averse and literally does not have an Amazon account and she refuses to make one. I tried just copying the URL from my browser while looking at my cart but obviously that just leads to an empty cart for her because of session cookies and user-specific data stuff. Its so annoying that Amazon doesnt have a simple share cart button for guest users like some other sites do.
I thought about maybe using a third-party extension like Share-A-Cart but Im not sure if that requires the recipient to also have the extension or an account to view it. I really need her to see the specific quantities and variants I picked out before I pull the trigger on the order. Anyone know a workaround that doesnt involve me just taking like 15 screenshots and texting them to her one by one...

In my experience, I have been hunting for a safe way to do this for my parents for over three years now. Its incredibly frustrating because most easy solutions honestly feel like a massive security risk, basically.
- Every fix I try usually breaks within a few weeks.
- Ive wasted hours trying to share $400 equipment lists without any success...
- Still havent found a single method that works without forcing a login.

I went through this exact same thing with my dad when he was fixing up his old truck. He hates passwords and wont touch Amazon apps with a ten-foot pole. Dealing with the empty cart link is basically a rite of passage at this point. Since she wont make an account, your best bet is to pivot from the cart to a list. It is a decent option because it keeps everything in one place without forcing a login.
- Create a new Wish List and name it Greenhouse Project
- Move everything from your cart to that list
- Change the list privacy settings to Public or Shared
- Copy the share link and send that to her She can view a public list as a guest without ever logging in. It shows the prices, variants, and quantities you picked out. Love the project! Is she using a desktop or mobile browser tho? The session data renders differently.
- Print the cart to PDF!
- Public lists work amazing. Also, Cart to Link is awesome.
