I am trying to put together a big list of kitchen stuff for my cousins housewarming party next week and I have a budget of about $300 but I am totally stuck. I have like 15 items in my amazon cart right now and I want to send the whole thing to my sister so she can check the colors but I dont want my private info or my address showing up when she opens the link. I looked all over the site and I cant find a share button that isnt linked to my personal prime profile and its kind of stressing me out lol. sorry if this is a basic question i just have no idea how people do this... what is the best tool to share a cart anonymously?
Honestly, it is super frustrating that Amazon still hasnt built a native way to do this without exposing your shipping address or name... it seems like a massive oversight in their UI logic. I have tested a few workarounds and honestly, most are pretty disappointing. I tried CartShare a while back but had issues with it not parsing quantities correctly, which basically makes it useless for a big housewarming list. The best tool ive found is Share-A-Cart. It is better than the others because it generates a unique ID so you stay totally anonymous. No personal data leaks. Another option is making a public Wish List, but honestly, that is not as good as expected because it still shows your profile name. If you want a real cart transfer, just use the extension. It is way more efficient than manually copying links even if the interface feels a bit dated.
Re: "Jumping in here because I have dealt with..."
Jumping in here because I have dealt with this exact issue before and it can be a real headache. You definitely want to be careful here because if you just send a screenshot or a standard link, sometimes your zip code or name leaks through the URL parameters without you even realizing it. I would suggest looking into Share-A-Cart because it is probably the most reliable tool for this. It basically scrapes the product IDs from your active session and creates a standalone list that isnt tethered to your personal account info. This means your sister gets the items but none of your metadata or address details. Just install the browser extension, hit the button, and it gives you a code or a clean URL to send over. One thing to keep in mind tho is that these extensions require permission to read your page data. I usually only keep it enabled when I am actually using it, just to be extra safe with my browsing data. Also, keep an eye on your cart total. Sometimes if you have coupons or specific prime-only deals applied, they might not show up the same way for her. It is a good idea to generate the link and then open it yourself in an incognito window first just to verify exactly what she is gonna see. Better safe than sorry when you are trying to stay anonymous... let me know if you get stuck with the setup!
