im trying to find a good deal on a new Legion laptop before the sales end next week but i really hate making accounts for every little thing online. i looked at Honey but it seems like they want you to sign up for their gold points thing just to see the price history graph now which is annoying. then there is Keepa which looks super detailed for amazon stuff but kinda overwhelming for a casual user. ive also heard about CamelCamelCamel but i think that only works for one site and i need to check Best Buy too. i just want something that sits in my browser and shows me the trends without needing my email... which of these actually lets you stay anonymous?

Building on the earlier suggestion about being cautious with permissions, I totally agree that some of these tools are more trouble than they are worth. I remember back when I was obsessed with getting my first high-end gaming setup. Installing every single extension I could find seemed like a good choice at first, but my browser ended up so bogged down with trackers that it was basically unusable. Truth is, I swear I started getting way more spam emails right after that too. Dont ever underestimate how much they track. It really made me rethink how much access I give these companies just to save fifty bucks. You gotta be careful because sometimes the data they harvest is worth way more than the discount they find for you. Honestly, if you want the real deal on how people are tracking Legion prices right now without the headache, you should just head over to Reddit or YouTube for the latest methods.

  • search the LenovoLegion subreddit for price tracking threads
  • look for recent YouTube videos on best shopping extensions for privacy
  • check the official Lenovo forums for community-driven deal sheets I saw a really solid video about this exact thing a couple weeks back that explained how to bypass the login requirements on a few of those extensions. I cant remember the creators name, but if you just search for something like anonymous price tracker guide 2024 it should pop right up. It is way better than risking your data on a sketchy plugin by just following the crowd without doing some digging first.

I absolutely love your approach to privacy while hunting for deals! Finding an extension that respects your anonymity is a fantastic goal. Honey and Keepa definitely push for those logins now which is super annoying. To help you find the best tracker for your Legion hunt, are you looking specifically for the Legion 5 Pro or the Slim series? Also, what is your absolute maximum budget for the purchase?

Quick reply while I have a sec... you might want to consider PriceBlink for Best Buy. It usually works without an account, but honestly, be careful with the permissions it asks for. I would suggest using a web-based tracker like PriceBefore instead of an extension to stay truly anonymous. Browser extensions often track your session tokens, so make sure to check those privacy settings before installing anything.
