seriously losing my mind trying to track this WorkPro Quantum 9000 chair at Office Depot because my current seat is literally killing my back. I thought for sure Honey or some other tracker would handle it but nope they just dont seem to support Office Depot at all which makes zero sense to me??

my logic was that since its a major retailer one of these extensions would work but i keep getting errors or just no data. im trying to stay under 350 bucks before my home office stipend expires next friday so i really need to know when the price drops. are there any sites that actually work with them? or am i stuck checking the tab every hour like a crazy person...

Office Depot is notorious for having a fairly complex site architecture that breaks a lot of the simpler browser-based scrapers. They use a lot of dynamic price rendering, meaning the price you see isnt hard-coded in the HTML source code when the page first loads. Instead, it gets fetched via an API call after the page scripts execute. Most basic extensions just scrape the initial static load, find nothing, and return an error. If you need a reliable Office Depot price tracker, you need to look for tools that perform server-side rendering or use headless browsers to actually wait for the script to execute. I usually use Distill Web Monitor for these kinds of specific sites because it lets you select the exact CSS selector or XPath for the price element. It can run locally in your browser or on their servers, which bypasses some of the basic bot detection. It is a decent option if you want granular control. Another factor to consider is that Office Depot often ties discounts to their rewards program or specific local store inventory. This creates a data mismatch if a tracker is pinging a server in a different zip code. Just keep in mind that even with a good tracker, you might see price fluctuations based on local stock levels. Its definitely better than manual refreshing tho, especially since your stipend deadline is so close. Stick to tools that allow for custom selection of webpage regions and you should be fine.

Totally agree with what was just said about the big trackers failing. It is a massive pain. Over the years I have noticed Office Depot uses some pretty aggressive anti-scraping tech that basically bricks standard extensions. In my experience, you really need a tool that handles dynamic content specifically. I have tried many different workarounds and a reliable Office Depot price tracker is basically the only way to get real-time alerts without losing your mind. Quick tip for you: make sure you clear your cookies or use an incognito tab when the tracker alerts you. Sometimes their site shows a cached higher price if you have been idling on the page too long. It is a technical quirk that has saved me a few bucks on more than one occasion. Better than refreshing all day tho.
