Which screen protectors for the iPhone 17 Pro actually keep the touch sensitivity totally normal without messing up face ID?

Ive been using tempered glass on my phones for years (upgrading from an aging 13 Pro where the battery barely lasts half a day and the camera is starting to struggle in low light), but this new thin-bezel design seems finicky. I grabbed a cheap pack on Amazon and now typing feels laggy—especially near the edges. (My budget is around 20-30 bucks max, and since I care a lot about keeping the display looking pristine and responsive for editing photos on the go, I need something reliable.)

Has anyone found a brand that works seamlessly?

Oh wait—forgot to mention, it needs to be case-friendly too!

idk man ive been through like three of these already. cheap glass on the 17 pro thin bezels is always gonna lag near the edges tbh. tried similar junk years ago and it was garbage, things may have changed though. just grab the Spigen Glas.TR EZ Fit cause the alignment tray saves you from botched installs and touch stays normal. fits most cases fine too...

Rarely post but saw this and had to chime in. The Spigen Glas.TR EZ Fit handles the 17 Pro thin bezels properly without edge lag or Face ID interference.

  • Thickness is 0.3mm, which maintains full touch sensitivity.
  • The included alignment tray prevents misalignment errors.
  • Price is around $15 for a two-pack.

I'm no expert but I just looked into this last week since I went through the exact same research process for my own upgrade. Regarding what #1 said about cheap glass causing edge lag on these thin bezels, that is totally accurate. I almost bought the Spigen Glas.TR EZ Fit too, but I ended up going with the Torras DiamondShield Glass for iPhone 17 Pro because it comes in right around $22 for a two-pack and has reinforced edge coverage that doesn't mess with cases. Touch response is completely normal across the whole keyboard, and Face ID works without any hiccups since the cutout is properly aligned. If you want another solid option under $30 that handles photo editing without throwing off touch accuracy, that one is definitely worth looking into.
