What fast chargers actually play nice with the Razr 2026? Ive been using Moto phones for years but this new one is being super picky with my older Anker bricks. Im heading to Japan in two weeks and need something compact that wont overheat. Is there a specific GaN charger that handles the protocol properly?

I'm no expert, but I went down this rabbit hole last week. The new Razr is definitely finicky with older protocols. I ended up looking at a few GaN options that actually trigger the TurboPower charging reliably:

  • Anker 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W: Fast and reliable, though it gets a little warm.
  • Ugreen 65W GaN Charger: Super compact and fits my travel bag perfectly. Stick to those and you should be fine in Japan.

Listen, are you using the cable that came in the box or some cheap gas station wire? That makes all the difference with these picky circuits. Look, you need a charger that handles the specific voltage handshake properly. Stop messing around with old tech.

  • Spigen 65W GaN USB-C Charger
  • Anker 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W Those will handle the load without burning up. Check your cable specs before you leave for Japan.

The Motorola Razr 2026 requires PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support to hit peak speeds. The Samsung 45W USB-C Wall Charger is excellent for its slim profile and reliable PPS negotiation, though it lacks extra ports. Alternatively, the Baseus 65W GaN5 Pro offers three ports and better heat dissipation for international travel, but it is physically bulkier. Both avoid the handshake issues common with older non-PPS chargers.
