Which protective case is actually going to keep my new Motorola Razr Plus (2024) from shattering the first time I inevitably drop it? I'm honestly so anxious—I just spent my whole tech budget at the T-Mobile in Chicago and I'm a total klutz. I've narrowed it down to the Spigen Air Skin and the Poetic Spartan. The Spigen looks nice, but I'm worried it won't handle a real drop—especially the hinge. The Poetic Spartan looks like a tank, but I've read that the hinge cover can trap grit and scratch the outer screen? My budget is $50 max and I need to order tonight. Is the Caseology Parallax any better or should I stick with one of these...
Building on the earlier suggestion, the Parallax is definitely the best for grip but you gotta weigh the trade-offs if youre legit worried about SHATTERING that screen.
Ngl I’d lowkey grab the Caseology Parallax Motorola Razr Plus 2024 Case — it’s way less bulky than that Spartan tank.
I've used every Razr model since 2020. I disagree with the Parallax recommendation because the adhesive strips on Caseology cases tend to lose their grip after a few weeks. Once that happens, the top half of the case slides and causes scratches on the frame. The VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 is a better alternative for $30. I've used their cases on three different foldables. It has a spring-loaded hinge cover that stays tight to the body. This prevents the grit buildup found on the Poetic Spartan. If you want something simpler, the OtterBox Thin Flex for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 is currently $40. It lacks hinge coverage, but the TPU is dense enough to survive a sidewalk drop. Foldables are fragile regardless, but these materials hold up better than the Spigen Air Skin.
