Which MagSafe chargers are actually going to give me the fastest speeds for the iPhone 17 Pro Max? Sorry if this is a really basic question but I have no idea where to start and I'm kinda anxious about picking the wrong one. I'm finally upgrading from my ancient iPhone 11—the battery on this thing is a total disaster now—and I've never even touched a MagSafe charger before.
I did some digging online and found two different things that confused me. One site said the new 17s can do 25W charging with a specific Apple puck, but then another forum mentioned Qi2 only goes to 15W? I don't understand if "MagSafe" and "Qi2" are the same thing or if I'm gonna lose speed by going with a third-party brand like Anker or Belkin. My main priority is just keeping the phone alive (I don't care about the fancy camera stuff as much as I care about not having a dead battery by noon).
I saw an ESR charger that looked cheap but I'm scared it'll overheat the phone or something. I just want the absolute fastest way to charge without plugging a cord directly into the port every time... is that even possible or am I overthinking this?
> One site said the new 17s can do 25W charging with a specific Apple puck, but then another forum mentioned Qi2 only goes to 15W? im no expert but i just looked into this last week and it is SO confusing... turns out you need the new Apple MagSafe Charger 25W and at least a Apple 30W USB-C Power Adapter to actually hit those 25W speeds. Qi2 is GREAT but yeah it caps at 15W so if you want the absolute FASTEST you gotta stick with the official apple puck for now.
Saved for later, ty!
