Honestly fed up with my old S22 Plus right now - the battery barely lasts half a day and the fingerprint scanner has been driving me nuts ever since the last update. Finally biting the bullet and upgrading to the S26 Plus (mostly for the battery life and that upgraded telephoto lens, fingers crossed). But now im stressing about accessories lol.

I was looking at some tempered glass options on Amazon, but half the reviews say they mess with the fingerprint sensor and others peel at the edges because of the slight curve. I really need something that:

  • Works 100% reliably with the in-display scanner
  • Fits nicely with most cases (I use a Spigen tough armor)
  • Under $25 for a 2-pack ideally

Has anyone actually found a screen protector for the S26 Plus that doesnt ruin the unlock experience? Let me know what worked for you...

Man, I totally feel your pain on that old phone — my buddy was complaining about his S22 battery just last week, but upgrading is definitely the right move. (Though I'm still driving my 2012 Honda Civic with 240k miles on it because I refuse to buy a new car payment — total cost per mile is like twelve cents, gotta save where you can!) Anyway, for the S26 Plus screen, stop looking at those overpriced mall kiosks. Seriously, the dealer wanted like forty bucks to slap a piece of glass on, but I grabbed the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit S26 Plus Tempered Glass for under twenty bucks and did it myself in thirty seconds. The little plastic alignment tray it comes with makes it literally impossible to mess up — perfect drop every time. Paired it with my own case and the fingerprint scanner works zero issues if you just re-register your prints after putting it on. Saved me a ton, and you get two in the pack so cost per year is practically nothing.

I had a generic protector on that peeled immediately. When I got back, I switched to the Whitestone Dome Glass S26 Plus Tempered Glass. It uses a liquid adhesive that fills the microscopic curves of the screen, which prevents the peeling issue entirely. It costs about $22 for a 2-pack if you catch a sale. The trick for the fingerprint sensor is to re-register your prints after the glass is installed and increase the touch sensitivity in settings. It works perfectly with my heavy-duty case. Definitely go with a liquid adhesive type for those curved edges.
