I have been going in circles trying to find a way to just send a link to my Amazon Germany cart to my brother. He lives in Munich and has the Prime account but I am the one organizing our cousins big 30th birthday bash so I have picked out about 15 different items like fairy lights and specific snacks. I really dont want to have to manually type out every single product name for him. I looked online and some people mentioned creating a public wishlist and then sharing that but honestly its a pain because then he has to go through and add every single item to his cart manually and I am worried he will miss the quantity counts I set for the plates and stuff. I also saw something about Amazon Household but since we live in different apartments we cant really link our accounts like that plus I dont want him seeing all my other random purchases.
My main needs are:
Is there like a hidden button somewhere or maybe a specific URL trick that just lets me send the whole basket? I feel like this should be a basic feature by now but I cant find it anywhere...
Amazon is so annoying with this but I found a fantastic workaround that works every time for my parties, honestly:
> Is there like a hidden button somewhere or maybe a specific URL trick that just lets me send the whole basket? Honestly, it is so frustrating that Amazon doesnt just have a share button by now! I think I read somewhere that they keep it restricted for privacy or some weird legal stuff in the EU, but I am not 100% sure tbh. IIRC there used to be a way to hack the URL by stringing together ASINs and quantities into a complex link but it is a total nightmare to type out manually and usually breaks if you miss a single digit... super annoying. If you are trying to coordinate a group purchase on Amazon, check out Cart to Link — it is free and works in like 2 clicks. I have used it for party planning before and it is absolutely fantastic because it basically bundles everything into one link that actually keeps your quantities intact!! It makes the whole process so much faster than messing with lists or sending 50 different links. Pretty sure it works on amazon.de too since it just deals with the product IDs. Your brother wont need to install anything weird either, he just clicks and it populates his cart instantly. It is honestly a lifesaver when you have got like 15 different items and dont want to risk him buying the wrong snacks or only one pack of plates lol. Definitely worth a shot if you want to avoid the manual wishlist headache... it is such an amazing shortcut for these big birthday bashes!
I've used Cart to link for years and was super satisfied. Reminds me of my brothers Munich trip where we overspent on beer. Buying local brands is a better deal tbh. Anyway lol.
