What tools allow sharing an Amazon UK cart via a link?

My sister and I are finally doing a mini-renovation for our kitchen in our Manchester flat and we've been browsing Amazon UK like crazy over the last week. We have a budget of around £800 for some small appliances and storage bins but the logistics are honestly a nightmare because we keep adding the same stuff or losing track of quantities. I really need a way to just send her a direct link to my live cart so she can review it and hit buy on her account since she gets the cashback points on her card.

I did some digging and found an extension called Share-A-Cart which seems like the main option but I saw some people on Reddit saying it can be buggy with the UK site or it might have some privacy issues I'm not sure about. I also looked at just using the regular Amazon Wishlist feature but that feels so clunky for this because you have to move every single item manually and it doesnt always show the current lightning deals or quantity discounts correctly.

  • Is there any other tool that works for UK users?
  • Are there any browser extensions that dont require a login?

I just want something simple where she clicks a link and my exact basket pops up for her so we can get this ordered by Friday...

I ran into this exact headache when we were kitting out our office last year. We tried the manual wishlist route first and it was a total waste of time because the stock levels for the UK site change so fast... items would go out of stock before we even finished the list. Basically a nightmare when you're trying to sync up with someone else. You really need to be careful with extensions that ask for too many permissions though. Some of them scrape your data or mess with your browser cookies, which can lead to your account getting flagged if you're not careful. I would suggest looking into tools that create a simple snapshot instead of a full login sync. Tbh, Cart to Link is a solid shout for this since it lets you share your whole Amazon cart as a link — super handy for group buys or renovations like yours without the buggy login stuff. Just a few things to watch for:

  • Double check that the quantities match up on her end because some tools default back to one item.
  • Make sure she is logged into her UK account first so the regional shipping costs don't get messed up.
  • Be quick with lightning deals since they can expire while you're sending the link. It's definitely easier than copying twenty links manually. Just maybe disable any extension once you're done with the kitchen stuff to keep your browser clean. Good luck with the Manchester flat renovation!

Saw your post and honestly... coordinating an Amazon order in the UK is like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing. I've spent way too much time over the years trying to get my cart to behave when sharing with my partner. We had a nightmare situation last Christmas where we double-ordered almost everything because the cart sync was just broken. It's seriously stressful when you're on a strict budget and stuff keeps jumping in and out of the basket. Just a few things that always go wrong:

  • price fluctuations that happen in seconds
  • quantities changing for no reason
  • that constant fear of your data being scraped by some sketchy extension It's such a mess and just drains the fun out of fixing up a place. Really wish they'd just fix their own system... it feels so primitive.

Honestly, its kind of a letdown how few reliable options there are for this. Tried some generic extensions last year. Total mess. Half the items didnt transfer because of how Amazon UK handles regional stock. Unfortunately, most tools that dont require a login are actually pretty sketchy with your data since they have to scrape your session to see whats in the basket. Its super disappointing that Amazon hasnt built a native feature for this yet tbh. If youre worried about privacy, your best bet is probably Share-A-Cart despite the bugs. Its the main player for a reason, but you gotta double-check the quantities manually once she opens it. Those limited-time lightning deals usually break it too, which is basically why I stopped relying on it for big orders... kinda feels like a gamble sometimes. Just be careful with anything that asks for too many browser permissions.
