Does anyone have leads on really solid screen protectors for the new iPhone 17e that actually fit the edges properly? I’m finally upgrading from my old iPhone 12 Mini—which honestly has the worst battery life I've ever dealt with—and I really want to keep this new screen pristine. My 12 Mini's screen is currently a mess of micro-scratches because I used a cheap "no-name" brand last time and it just didn't hold up.

I’ve been looking at the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit and those dbrand ones, but I’m seeing some conflicting info online. Some people on Reddit are saying the 17e has a slightly different curvature on the glass compared to the base 17, so the "universal" protectors might have that annoying lifting effect at the corners. I also looked at the Belkin ones Apple sells, but $40 for one piece of glass feels a bit steep unless it's literally indestructible.

I'm mostly worried about it interfering with the front camera or the new sensor layout—since the 17e is supposed to be all about that sleek form factor. I need something with a really good alignment tool because I always end up with one tiny piece of lint otherwise (it drives me crazy). Oh, and I prefer the ones that don't have that black border around the edge—it always seems to cut off a pixel or two of the display. Should I stick with the big names or is there a hidden gem I’m missing?

Re: "Saw this and had to chime in. I..." look i spent 25 years in a shop and dust is the enemy. listen i seen guys waste money on junk that peels off in a week. i put ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass XTR3 for iPhone 17e on my phone and it TOUGH tbh. tip: dont do it in the living room. install it in the bathroom after a hot shower to kill the dust. works every time.

Saw this and had to chime in. I have tested four different brands on the 17e since launch. The curvature reports are accurate; the 17e glass tapers slightly more at the edges than the standard 17. Most "universal" protectors leave a visible halo effect or lift within 48 hours.

  • ESR Armorite Screen Protector for iPhone 17e is currently the most reliable option. It features a 10kg impact rating and a physical mounting frame that prevents misalignment. It does not have a black border, ensuring full pixel visibility across the entire panel.
  • Torras Diamond Shield for iPhone 17e is a solid alternative. It is 0.33mm thick and uses electrostatic technology for a bubble-free seal. I have found no issues with the new sensor layout or front camera interference with this model.
  • Avoid the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for iPhone 17e for now. Their current retail inventory often mixes the 17 and 17e stock. This leads to the exact lifting at the corners you mentioned because the dimensions are not identical.
  • The Belkin UltraGlass 2 for iPhone 17e sold at Apple is overpriced at $40. It provides no better scratch resistance than the ESR, which is significantly cheaper and comes in a two-pack. The ESR Armorite is the best specific fit for the 17e. It addresses the unique glass curvature and includes a comprehensive cleaning kit to eliminate the lint problem you are concerned about.
