So I just upgraded to the 16 Pro Max from my old iPhone 12 Pro and honestly the size difference is insane, my old phone was basically dying by noon and the camera was getting super laggy but now this new one is a beast. But here is the thing, Ive been using MagSafe since it came out so Im not new to this but the sheer size and weight of this 16 Pro Max is messing with all my old accessories. My old desk stand keeps tipping over and the wallet magnet feels way too weak for a phone this heavy, like it just slides off in my pocket which is kinda scary tbh.

I need some solid recommendations for:

  • A really strong MagSafe wallet (maybe one that doubles as a stand?)
  • A car mount that wont drop this brick when I hit a pothole
  • A portable battery pack that actually aligns right with the massive camera bump, budget is around $100-$150 total for a few good pieces.

Im mostly worried about the weight and that huge camera bump blocking things, anyone found stuff that actually works well with this specific size?

Ive been through three of these wallet stands and most are garbage tbh.

  • ESR Magnetic Wallet Stand HaloLock: crazy strong magnet and the adjustable stand actually holds the heavy Pro Max, but it adds MASSIVE bulk.
  • Apple Leather Wallet with MagSafe: super slim and looks clean, but the magnets are weak and it slides right off in your pocket... Go with ESR if you actually want it to stay attached.

> My old desk stand keeps tipping over and the wallet magnet feels way too weak for a phone this heavy For the car mount, avoid vent clips. The weight of the 16 Pro Max will damage your car vents. The Spigen OneTap Pro 3 MagFit dashboard mount is highly secure. The adhesive base prevents the phone from falling. Just make sure you clean the dashboard surface with isopropyl alcohol before mounting, or the adhesive will fail. Alternatively, the Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Car Vent Mount PRO is well-made but puts too much stress on the vent blades. I recommend the dashboard-mounted Spigen instead to avoid dashboard damage. For the battery, double-check the dimensions of the Anker 622 Magnetic Battery MagGo. The built-in kickstand is useful, but the camera lip clearance is very tight on the Pro Max.

For a heavy phone like the 16 Pro Max, you need stronger magnets than standard.

  • Car Mount: Use the ESR HaloLock Car Mount. Just make sure you mount it to the dash, not the air vents, as the weight can snap the vent blades.
  • Wallet/Stand: The ESR HaloLock Smart Wallet has 1,500g magnetic strength. Double-check the pocket clearance so it does not snag and detach.

@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly though, for the battery bump issue, you need the Anker 321 MagGo 5K because it sits just low enough to clear those massive 16 Pro Max lenses. For the wallet, the Moft Flash Wallet Stand is the move, magnets are crazy strong. TL;DR: Grab the Anker 321 battery to clear that huge camera bump and Moft Flash for a stand that wont slide off.
