Ugh so I finally ordered the iPhone 17e and its coming tomorrow but Im still rocking my old 12 mini and honestly the screen is so scratched up I cant even see the camera lens properly, which is a nightmare cuz I take a ton of photos. I really need to protect this new screen but I have no idea what to get tbh. I saw some people online swearing by Spigen but then others say the edges peel on the 17e specifically and now Im just confused. Is it worth dropping like $40 on a brand name one or should I just grab a cheap multipack on Amazon? What are you guys using?

Dont overspend. I swear by Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit for the ease, but honestly JETech Tempered Glass 3-Pack is cheaper at $0.01 per day. Saved me a ton, DIY for life...

Look, listen. People out here acting like a piece of glass needs to cost as much as a tank of gas. Youre getting ripped off if you spend $40 on a screen protector, plain and simple. I fix machinery all day, I know what quality materials cost, and those name-brand markups are just pure profit for them. Listen to me, don't overthink the brand. You want something that does the job without breaking the bank. Here is how you handle it: 1. Stop looking at the fancy packaging. It's all the same tempered glass from the same factories anyway.

  • Grab the JETech Tempered Glass 3-Pack on Amazon. Its dirt cheap and honestly, if it cracks, you just peel it off and stick on another one in two minutes. 3. Prep is everything. If you don't clean that screen with 90% isopropyl alcohol before you slap the glass on, you're gonna have bubbles. That's a guarantee. I see guys in the shop with expensive protectors that crack the second they drop a wrench. If you buy the cheap pack, you have spares. It's just smart money. Why pay for a name when the cheap stuff does the exact same thing? Spend the extra cash on a decent case instead. The screen protector just needs to stop the scratches, not win an award. Keep it simple and dont be a sucker.

This comes up a lot. I used to waste cash on expensive glass until I learned it's all about the install—not the price tag. My routine:

  • Deep clean
  • Dust tape
  • Steady hands Done.
