So I finally bit the bullet and preordered the 17 Pro Max! Im coming from the 14 Pro Max and honestly the battery life on my current one is just completely shot, like I cant even make it through a workday without a top-up which is super annoying. Im really hyped for the new camera setup, but since this thing is basically a brick, I really need a case that wont make it feel even bulkier. Ive used OtterBox for years but they just feel so thick now. Any recommendations for a slim but actually protective case? I dont wanna spend more than 60 bucks if I can help it...

Congrats on the upgrade. Ive been through three of these Pro Max bricks and honestly, sticking to slim cases is the only way to survive. Try these:
- Spigen Thin Fit iPhone 17 Pro Max - super light but offers minimal drop protection.
- PITAKA MagEZ Case 5 iPhone 17 Pro Max - fits like a skin, feels premium, but pricey. Used OtterBox years ago and it was GARBAGE for bulk. Just grab something thin and try not to drop it...

Yo, congrats on the upgrade! Coming from a 14, you're gonna notice a massive difference with the battery, which is honestly a relief. If you're tired of the OtterBox brick vibe but still want to make sure your phone doesn't shatter, I've got a couple of go-to's that are lowkey perfect.

- It's super sleek, develops a really cool patina over time, and honestly doesn't add much bulk at all.

- This one is cool because it's grippy as heck, so you're less likely to drop it, and the custom skins are a fun touch. I've been using these kinds of cases for a bit and they feel way better in the hand. Tbh, they keep the phone feeling like an actual phone instead of a tank. Definitely check those out, you won't regret it.

@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly, if you want actual protection without the bulk, the Caseology Parallax iPhone 17 Pro Max is a STEAL. It feels premium and stays way under budget.
