Which wireless chargers work best with iPhone 17e?

Been using Qi chargers for years now across a few different generations of devices, but this new form factor is throwing me off a bit. Upgraded from my old battered 12 mini (man that battery life was rough by the end, barely lasted till 3 PM with my heavy usage) straight to the 17e since I wanted a decent size bump and better main camera without paying flagship pro prices. My budget for the desk setup is around $50-$70 max.

I was looking at the usual Anker and Belkin pads on Amazon. Some spec sheets mention optimized coil alignment, but user reviews are all over the place regarding whether these budget-friendly stands actually trigger the max charging speeds for the 17e specifically, or if they throttle and heat up like crazy (which killed my old battery health). I read through a couple of MacRumors threads about magnetic alignment tolerances, but people were mostly talking about the Pro max sizes, not this exact model.

Are the older MagSafe-compatible pucks fine, or do I need to hunt down something explicitly rated for the newer power delivery profiles? What are people actually using that doesn't slide around?

Look. You are overthinking this charging nonsense. Modern phones just need steady power without cooking themselves. I've been running the Anker MagGo Wireless Charger B2557 on my workbench for months now and it just works — wait, no, let me give you a couple of solid options that fit that fifty dollar budget you mentioned.

  • Anker MagGo Wireless Charger B2557: Strong magnets, heavy base so it doesn't slide around when you grab the phone, and it regulates heat well. Pro is the solid build. Con is it's just a pad, not a full desk stand.
  • Belkin BoostCharge Pro WIA008: Great angle for checking notifications while wrenching on parts. Pro is fast alignment. Con is the cable is hardwired on some variants. Listen, forget about those old cheap pucks from five years ago. Grab one of these and your battery will stay happy. Catch you later.

> Are you planning to leave it plugged in overnight on a bedside table, or is this strictly for daytime desk use? @Reply #2 - good point! I'm no expert but I just looked into this last week because I was worried about heat too. I was trying to stay under $40 and found the Anker 313 Wireless Charger Pad 10W is super cheap, but it doesn't have magnets so the phone can slide around. If you want proper alignment without spending Pro money, look at the Anker MagGo Magnetic Wireless Charger Pad B2549. It usually sits around $30 to $40 on Amazon, which leaves you plenty of room under your $70 budget. It handles the power profiles well without cooking the battery and uses a strong magnet so it won't slip on your desk.

Adding my two cents here, I d recommend double checking the exact power draw specs before you buy anything. Are you planning to leave it plugged in overnight on a bedside table, or is this strictly for daytime desk use? Heat management is no joke with these newer profiles.
