Upgrading from the Razr 2023. The screen on that one scratched if I even looked at it wrong. I need something durable for the new 2026. I’m looking at the Supershieldz film or the Spigen Glas.tR. Budget is $30 max. I’m leaning toward Spigen for the impact protection, but I’m worried it’ll lift at the hinge. Is the Spigen actually better for long-term use or should I just buy a pack of the cheap ones?

Ngl, like someone mentioned earlier, trying to force a thick glass protector onto a foldable is lowkey a recipe for disaster — you’ll probably hear that terrifying 'crunch' the second you close it and then it’s game over. Tbh, I’ve spent way too much time on Reddit reading horror stories and the consensus is basically that film is king for these hinges. I actually used the Supershieldz High Definition Clear Shield TPU on my last flip and it was solid because it stretches instead of snapping. Wait, no — I should mention that you gotta be really careful with the alignment or it'll bubble, but it’s way better than that Spigen glass lifting at the crease. Idk if the 2026 model has a tighter gap, but sticking with a multi-pack of flexible TPU for under $15 is the move so you can just swap them when they get grimy.
