Which screen protector works best with the OnePlus 14?

So my OnePlus 14 finally arrived today and now I'm stressing big time about keeping the glass pristine. Been using screen protectors on all my phones for years—tempered glass mostly, applied with those alignment jigs usually—but this curved-edge display situation is driving me nuts already.

Upgrading from my trusty old OnePlus 8T (the flat screen on that thing made protector installs super foolproof), and honestly the main reason I switched was the camera upgrade and better battery life since the 8T battery barely holds a charge through the afternoon now. But jeez, finding something that actually plays nice with the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner AND doesn't peel up at the edges after a week of being in my pocket is way harder than I expected.

I've been digging through Reddit threads and XDA forums for the past couple hours. People keep mentioning UV-cure liquid adhesive glass (like Whitestone Dome), but I'm kinda terrified of getting that glue into the earpiece or buttons—never done a LOCA install before. TPU films are easy, but they feel rubbery and gross with the S Pen—wait, the 14 doesn't even have an S Pen, I'm mixing it up with Samsung, my bad—anyway, they feel gross with just regular thumb swipes and lose that smooth glass glide.

Here are my constraints:

  • Budget: Under $40 total (packs of 2 are preferred since I usually mess up the first install)
  • Must work 100% reliably with the fingerprint reader (can't be dealing with unlock failures every time I pay for coffee)
  • Case friendly (using the Spigen rugged armor case)
  • Clear glass only, absolutely no privacy filters that dim the display since the screen brightness is one of my favorite things about this phone

Has anyone actually found a tempered glass option for the OnePlus 14 that doesn't lose touch sensitivity at the curves? Which one are you guys using without wanting to rip it off two days later?

Look, skip the liquid glue junk. You dont want that mess running into your speaker grille and gumming up the buttons. I been turning wrenches for 25 years and I hate working with sloppy adhesives. Listen, curved screens are a pain, plain and simple, but you just need the right gear. Get yourself the Spigen AlignMaster Tempered Glass Film for OnePlus 14. Cost is around fifteen or twenty bucks for a two-pack, right in your budget. Comes with the plastic alignment tray so you wont screw up the install. Since you are running the Spigen Rugged Armor case already, everything fits together tight without the edges lifting up. The tolerances are exact, like torquing down a cylinder head properly. Touch sensitivity stays solid and the fingerprint scanner wont give you grief at the register. Just clean that glass down real good with the alcohol wipe first. Dont rush it.
