sorry if this is a dumb question but I have no idea where to start... upgrading from my old cracked 7T (battery is totally dead and camera is super blurry now). I was looking at some cheap ones on amazon but got totally overwhelmed by reviews talking about fingerprint scanners not working anymore. my budget is around $20-30. basically I just need something that wont mess up the screen scanner since I use it for banking apps. what is actually the best tempered glass for the OnePlus 13?

Everyone and their dog is going to push the usual suspects (you know the ones), but honestly after wasting so much money on overhyped glass over the years — wait, no, let me rephrase that — I actually learned my lesson the hard way last year. Had a phone where the fingerprint scanner completely died because of crappy adhesive thickness, and it drove me nuts trying to log into my bank while standing in line at the grocery store. So when I got my hands on the Whitestone Dome Glass OnePlus 13, I was skeptical as hell because of the whole UV curing process (sounds terrifying, right?), but it turned out to be the only thing that actually works properly with curved screens and ultrasonic scanners. Here is why the liquid adhesive method is actually better than those standard tray ones:

  • It fills in every single micro-gap, meaning zero air gaps to confuse the under-display sensor.
  • You get full glass coverage without that annoying rainbow effect in direct sunlight.
  • The glue acts as a bridge so the optical scanner reads right through it like nothing is even there. It costs a little bit more, but trust me — saving ten bucks on a cheap sheet of glass isn't worth losing your biometric login entirely. Just take your time with the install and you'll be fine.

I am no expert, but I just went through this exact research process last week before buying. If you want to stay strictly under your budget and avoid fingerprint scanner issues, look at the Flolab NanoArmour OnePlus 13. It sits right at the top of your price range and uses specific adhesive that keeps the ultrasonic scanner working properly without needing a messy UV glue kit. Another solid budget alternative is the Ringke Invisible Defender OnePlus 13, which usually comes in a multi-pack for under fifteen dollars. Both options have high clarity and won't mess with your banking apps. Just make sure to re-register your fingerprints after installation for the best results.

not a dumb question at all man. i got three kids so every buck counts and i refuse to pay mall kiosk prices. look into Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT OnePlus 13 for around fifteen bucks. comes with an alignment tray so you cant mess it up. fingerprint scanner works 100 percent. dealer wanted like fifty bucks for a basic film at the store but i did this myself for half the price and it saved me a ton. broke down thats like five bucks a year. total no brainer.
