Does anyone have a tool they use to track price drops on Office Depot items??

I’m finally upgrading my whole home office here in Austin and I’m so hyped to get a real ergonomic chair instead of this kitchen stool im using. I found CamelCamelCamel but that's obviously just for Amazon and I checked out Keepa too but it doesn't seem to support Office Depot either. I really need to stay under $450 for the chair and a new desk so catching a 20 or 30 percent drop would be huge for me.

Are there extensions that actually alert you via email for this store specifically or am I just gonna have to refresh the page every day like a crazy person lol...

To add to the point above: precise DOM monitoring is technically demanding. This reminds me of when my brother tried to manually script a tracker for his office setup. He got obsessed with parsing JSON metadata but missed the restock because his local cache wouldnt clear. It turned into a massive ordeal involving server logs and regex. He even mentioned PriceDropCatch as a decent option, but he just kept debugging until the sale ended.

Tbh, Glass It is a decent option for price alerts on random store pages. It works by monitoring the specific URL you give it. Since you're on a budget, definitely hunt for their 20 percent off coupons too... they basically rotate those weekly so dont ever pay full retail price.

Adding my thoughts since I did the same setup last year. Might want to consider these two but be careful with the settings.

  • Karma: Super easy for alerts, tho it can get a bit spammy if you arent careful.
  • Distill: Way more technical but more precise for tracking specific page elements. I would suggest checking manually once a week too... just in case the site layout breaks the tracker!
