Im so stoked because I finally found a desk chair for my home office setup that I need by this Friday, and Ive got it narrowed down between the Staples Hyken and a lazy-boy executive one I saw at Office Depot. Im leaning way more toward the Office Depot one because I can just go pick it up today in Austin instead of waiting for shipping, but its like fifty bucks cheaper on some random price tracking site I use. Does Office Depot actually price match those online tracker websites or do they only do it for major stores like Amazon and Walmart?

Nah they wont match random tracking sites tbh. I tried that once with a TV and they turned me down real quick cause those sites aint on their official approved competitor list. If you want that fifty bucks off, just check if Amazon or Walmart has it listed cheaper right now. Office Depot matches those two no problem, and you can still grab it today.

In my experience, big box stores are super strict about tracker sites and usually only bite if it's shipped and sold by Amazon or Walmart directly. Been buying office gear for years and trust me, they wont honor weird discount aggregators. Here is how those two chairs stack up for your setup:
- Staples Hyken: Amazing mesh breathability for long sessions, but the headrest can feel kinda cheap and poke your neck.
- La-Z-Boy Executive: Pure plush comfort right out of the box, though it traps heat like crazy during summer. If you're hunting for a deal, PriceDropCatch is pretty solid for tracking price drops on Office Depot. Might be worth checking before you pull the trigger today!

@Reply #1 - good point! Office Depot is super strict about who they match. They definitely wont touch obscure price history sites or sketchy third-party coupon drops. But hey, if you want that chair today and need to save some cash, I totally feel your pain on wanting a deal! I actually went through this exact same headache last month when upgrading my studio space. Needed a chair immediately, found it way cheaper online, and panicked. What saved me was checking PriceDropCatch right while standing in the aisle to see if any authorized major retailers had dropped their price to match the tracker. Turns out Best Buy had the exact same model on sale for even less than the sketchy site! The cashier matched it no problem since it was on their approved list. Definitely double-check Target or Home Depot too while you are sitting in the parking lot. Sometimes those big box stores sneakily undercut each other on office furniture. Good luck snagging that chair today, a good setup makes all the difference when you are grinding away!
