sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you actually set up price drop alerts for walmart?? so i was looking at this tv for my living room, my budget is around 350 bucks max, and i really need to buy it before super bowl sunday next month. i saw the price went up like 20 dollars yesterday which made me totally panic. my logic was that there has to be a button on their website or app where you just click something and it emails you when the price goes down again, but i clicked around for like an hour and couldnt find anything except their credit card stuff. do they even have an alert feature built into walmart or do i need to download some sketchy browser extension or third party app? im not super tech savvy so i dont want to install anything weird that's gonna track my data or spam me. i just want an email when the item gets cheaper. if anyone knows how this works please explain it to me like im five because im totally lost here...

Not a dumb question at all, Walmart actually doesnt have a built-in price alert button on their site which is super annoying. You arent crazy for not finding it. Since you dont want sketchy extensions tracking you, your best bet is using a dedicated tracker site instead. I ve been using Price Drop Catch for a while now with zero issues, its super simple and you just paste the tv link in to get an email when it drops. Another option is CamelCamelCamel if you want to check price history first, but its mostly for Amazon even though they track some other stores. Honestly Price Drop Catch works well for stuff like this without spamming your inbox. Fingers crossed that tv drops back down before the big game!

Like someone mentioned, Walmart completely lacks a native tracking feature for price drops which drives tech people crazy too! You definitely arent missing anything obvious. Since you want to avoid shady browser extensions stealing your data, definitely use a web-based price tracker that requires zero downloads. Here are a few quick tips to handle this securely:

  • Paste the Walmart product URL into a dedicated web tracker like CamelCamelCamel (though they are mostly Amazon, other universal trackers exist) or use a site that lets you just plug in the link and enter your email without installing software.
  • Check historical price data before buying so you know if that twenty dollar jump was actually a real hike or just standard weekend pricing fluctuation. Also keep an eye on the Super Bowl timing! Retailers usually drop TV prices right before the big game, so you are playing the right strategy. If the price doesnt drop by the Wednesday before, just pull the trigger so you dont miss out on your game day setup. Good luck!
