Ive been using Amazon since like 2012 so I usually know my way around the UI but this is driving me crazy. My roommate and I are trying to split a big order for our new apartment in Toronto - mostly kitchen gear and some bulk snacks - and I thought I could just send him a link to my active cart. My logic was that there has to be a share button by now but I cant find anything. I even tried those browser extensions but they keep crashing on the .ca site specifically. Is there some hidden feature in the account settings I missed or am I just gonna have to screenshot 25 items manually...
^ This. Also, if youre sick of screenshots, the only real native workaround is using the List feature. Over the years, Ive found its the only reliable method for the Canadian site.
The list feature is definitely the only way to go if you want to keep your sanity. I remember back in college we tried to coordinate a huge kitchen gear order for five people and it was a total nightmare because we were just texting links back and forth for days. One thing I would suggest tho is be careful about the pricing when you move things from a List to a Cart. I once had a whole set of pans jump up by thirty bucks because a deal expired while it was just sitting in our shared list... so annoying. You might want to consider doing a quick final screen share just to double check the taxes too because Amazon.ca is notorious for those sudden price shifts right before you hit pay. Better to be safe than surprised by the final bill.
Honestly, its wild that in 2024 we still cant just click a button to share a cart. I went through this exact same headache last month trying to split a grocery haul for a cabin trip. Since the extensions are being buggy on the Canadian site specifically, dont even bother fighting with them. The most reliable workaround is to use a dedicated Wish List.
