How can I share my Amazon cart items with someone without forcing them to log in? Im so pumped to show this PC build list to a client today but they dont have an account. Ive done this for years via wishlists, but the cart link keeps hitting a login wall.

Jumping in here because honestly, managing PC builds directly in Amazon carts is a total headache. The login wall is super aggressive lately. If you want a solid alternative, go with PCPartPicker. You really cant go wrong with them for organizing builds. Here are a few reasons why it works better for clients:

  • It generates a clean, public permalink that anyone can view without making an account
  • The system automatically flags compatibility issues like clearance or BIOS mismatches
  • It tracks prices across multiple retailers, not just Amazon, so you might save them some cash Its way cleaner than sending raw Amazon links anyway.

I am dealing with the exact same issue right now, and it is honestly so frustrating. I spent two hours yesterday trying to send a client a parts list for a dual-Xeon virtualization server, and they kept getting redirected to the Amazon sign-in page. Unfortunately, Amazon's session cookies and security protocols have become way too aggressive, and their native sharing features are just not as good as expected. Since I could not find a way to bypass the login wall directly, I had to resort to a manual workaround. Here is the method I ended up using to keep things clear and budget-conscious for them:

  • I exported the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers) directly from the product pages into a shared Google Sheet.
  • I added a column using the IMPORTXML function to scrape the current prices dynamically, though it is not always 100 percent accurate.
  • I stripped all the referral and session tracking parameters from the URLs, leaving just the base amazon.com/dp/ASIN link so they could open them individually without cookies messing up the page load. It is a tedious process compared to just sending a cart, but until Amazon fixes their guest access, this seems to be the only reliable way to share hardware specs without forcing a login.

I was cautious about security at first, but the Share-a-Cart browser extension works well for this. I am very satisfied with its reliability. Here is the method:

  • Install the Share-a-Cart creator extension
  • Click the extension button to generate a unique code
  • Send the direct link to your client They can view the entire list instantly without needing an Amazon account.
