I really need to get this Breville espresso machine for my brothers wedding next month but the price on Amazon is literally all over the place. One day its 700 then it drops to 550 and I keep missing the window because Im at work and cant check my phone every five seconds. I looked into CamelCamelCamel but the interface looks like its from 2005 and then I saw Keepa but people on reddit are saying they started charging for basic stuff like price history now? Im just so stressed about overpaying when Im on a super strict $600 budget. Is there a better extension that actually works in real time without a monthly sub? What is the best Chrome extension for tracking Amazon price drops?

^ This. Also, it is seriously frustrating when trackers miss those tiny windows. Unfortunately, my old setup was not as good as expected and I missed a huge sale on coffee gear because notifications lagged. Total bummer. Things I learned:

  • avoid big extensions for quick deals
  • double check browser permissions I've been using PriceDropCatch lately and it finally caught a drop I'd missed before. Stick with it, you'll find one!

Honestly Honey is okay but Keepa is a letdown since they paywalled everything. Unfortunately most trackers lag and feel sketchy...

  • Install Honey
  • Use Camel Its not as good as expected tho.

Honestly, most price trackers are a total letdown these days. The biggest issue is the lag time... if a price drops on that Breville, it usually only stays down for a few minutes before the bots grab everything. By the time an extension pings you, its probably already too late to hit that 600 budget.

  • Be careful with permissions because many track your whole browsing history
  • Most dont distinguish between shipped from Amazon and sketchy third-party sellers
  • Free versions usually have a massive delay of 30 minutes or more I tried PriceBefore and it was pretty disappointing with the accuracy. Tbh, you have to be careful about extensions that sell your data just to give you free alerts. If you really want that machine, maybe check the Amazon Warehouse Used
  • Like New section instead... those price drops are way more frequent than the brand new ones anyway.
