Ugh I am literally kicking myself right now. I bought a air fryer and bath sheets at Kohl's last month at full price like an idiot, only to realize I missed out on their huge Lowest Prices of the Season sale. I have a tiny $250 budget to completely redecorate our guest room before my sister comes to stay in late September, so I CANNOT mess this up again. I really need to grab new comforters and curtains when the prices drop to absolute bottom.

Does anyone know the exact month or week this sale usually hits in the fall? Am I looking at late August or is it more like mid-September?

Jumping in here since I have been tracking Kohl's sale cycles for about six years now. You definitely want to keep an eye out around mid-September, usually right after Labor Day wraps up and before the big fall clearance push. I was in your exact shoes two years ago redoing our spare bedroom on a tight $200 budget. I was super satisfied with how far the money went once I figured out their technical pricing rules during that specific event. Here is what worked really well for me during my own guest room overhaul:

  • Historical timing: The sale almost always launches on a Thursday or Friday around the 15th to 20th of September. Last year it ran right around September 19-22.
  • Stacking mechanics: Lowest Prices of the Season is treated like a doorbuster event. Standard 15% or 20% off promo codes usually won't work on these items, but Kohl's Cash and Yes2You/Rewards dollars always apply on top of the drop. That is where the real savings happen.
  • Alternative options: If mid-September cuts it too close to her visit, keep an eye on their end-of-summer clearance around September 1st. They aggressively mark down home goods from summer stock to make shelf space for fall, sometimes up to 70% off. I managed to get a full microfiber comforter set, sheets, and two room-darkening curtain panels for under $85 total back then, no complaints at all. Happy to help if you need advice on tracking the price drops!

Dont stress, you can totally catch it! That fall Lowest Prices of the Season sale almost always hits in mid-to-late September! I love this sale and snagged amazing bedding during it last year. To help stretch that $250 budget:

  • What size mattress is the guest bed?
  • Are you looking for heavy blackout curtains or light sheers? Let me know so I can recommend the absolute best budget brands!
