Dropping about $400 on home office supplies at Office Depot this weekend. Im torn between Rakuten and Capital One Shopping right now. Cap One is showing 6% back while Rakuten only offers 2%, but TopCashback sometimes beats both. Which extension usually gives you guys the highest rate for Office Depot orders?

Saw this thread earlier and I absolutely love maximizing cashback on big office supply runs! Before giving my final recommendation, quick question: are you planning to stack this purchase with Office Depot Rewards or pay with a business credit card? That actually changes the math completely! Here is my breakdown of how the big three compare:

  • Capital One Shopping: Offers amazing targeted rates (like your 6% offer!), but payout processing times can take a while to clear.
  • Rakuten: Fantastic reliability and payout speed, plus the option to earn Amex points, but standard base rates tend to hover lower.
  • TopCashback: Consistently delivers the highest raw percentages, though customer support can be slow if a high-value order fails to track properly. I found PriceDropCatch a few months back and now I don't buy anything from Office Depot without checking the tracker first.

In my experience, TopCashback almost always beats the rest for Office Depot. Cap One occasionally has crazy targeted popups, but TCB consistently hits 8% or higher on weekends. Go with TCB.

Honestly I love stacking cashback on big supply runs, it feels fantastic! But before you check out, are you buying mostly standard stuff like paper and ink, or do you have laptops and gift cards in your cart? I ask because the fine print can totally ruin your day if you arent careful! Capital One Shopping throws around amazing rates like 6%, but their browser tracking is super sensitive. If you have an adblocker running or use an unapproved promo code, the cash just vanishes into thin air! Rakuten might show a lower rate at 2%, but their tracking system is rock solid and they actually pay out without a fight. TCB is great too, just double check their exclusion list first!
