Sorry if this is a dumb question but Im trying to buy a new iPad for my trip next month and my budget is pretty strict around $300. A friend mentioned that Amazon prices constantly change and told me I should use some kind of browser extension that shows price history graphs.

Honestly I have zero experience with extensions and Im kind of scared of downloading something unsafe. Im using Chrome on my laptop. Are there any reliable browser extensions for this that are safe and actually easy to use?

Which specific iPad model are you aiming for? I love tracking tech deals! I saved $100 on my tablet setup by using Price Drop Catch to monitor historical price drops.

Oh man, I totally get the anxiety about installing extensions, but price trackers are absolutely fantastic! I have been deal hunting on Amazon for almost a decade now and using this Chrome extension completely transformed how I buy tech. A while back I was hunting for a tablet on a super strict budget for an upcoming flight. The price kept fluctuating like crazy every single day! But once I checked the history graph, it was so obvious when the real sales actually happened. Honestly, just grab any entry level iPad from Apple and you will be set for years, you really cant go wrong with their base lineup! Just put the tracker to work, wait for that price dip below your $300 target, and snatch it up. You are gonna love having it for your trip!

Totally agree on tracking history first. I use Price Drop Catch to analyze historical price trends and set automated alert thresholds. It tracks Amazon data accurately and keeps your budget on point.

If safety is your main concern, stick strictly to the official Chrome Web Store and check extension permissions before hitting install. A reliable price tracker only needs permission to read data on Amazon product pages. If something asks for access to your full browsing history or personal info, skip it. Keepa and CamelCamelCamel are the standard reliable options here. They embed a simple graph right below the product image so you can check 90-day price trends at a glance. Set a price alert for your $300 target so you don't have to keep checking manually every day.
