Im organizing this massive retro board game night for my flatmates in London next weekend and I am super excited! Got about £150 worth of games and snacks stacked up in my Amazon UK basket right now. I need my flatmate to double check everything before I hit buy so we can split it. So I was thinking, is there an easy way to just share my actual cart as a link? My logic was that sending a cart link is way easier than adding 12 items to a public Wishlist one by one. Or should I just use one of those third party browser extensions like Share-A-Cart? Kinda torn between making a temporary wishlist or using an extension, unless Amazon has a native share button I missed?
^ This. Also, if you are cautious about granting browser extensions access to your shopping sessions, there are clear trade-offs to keep in mind:
Amazon actually doesnt have a native button to share an active basket, so stop searching before you drive yourself crazy! Making a wishlist for 12 separate items is way too tedious when youre in a hurry. I had this exact issue organizing a flat party last month and settled it fast:
@Reply #1 - good point on avoiding the manual wishlist route, but third-party extensions are actually fantastic here! You should totally grab the Share-A-Cart extension for Chrome or Firefox. It takes like 2 seconds! It reads your active basket session data and generates a simple 5-digit token code you can text your flatmate. They just plug that code into their browser extension and it instantly clones your exact basket. Super smooth!
