Does Sephora or Ulta ever put the Dyson Airwrap on sale? Sorry if this is a totally dumb question since I literally never buy high end hair tools and am super new to all this, but my birthday is coming up next month and Ive been saving up about $500 for one. I checked both apps and its full price everywhere right now. Do they do holiday sales or brand exclusions where it never gets marked down? Im trying to figure out if I should just bite the bullet or wait a few weeks. If anyone knows how their reward points work for big purchases like this let me know cause Im so lost...
TL;DR: Nope, they never go on direct sale because Dyson locks down pricing hard. Honestly, your best bet is waiting for Ulta's 20x points multiplier event on Dyson if you can time it right. You'll rack up enough points to get like $100 back in store credit for future stuff. Definitely worth the wait over a direct discount imo.
In my experience over the years, neither Sephora nor Ulta ever puts the actual Dyson Airwrap on a direct cash sale. Dyson has super strict pricing rules.
Regarding what #2 said about TL;DR: Nope, they never go on direct sale..., tbh I actually disagree a bit about waiting for those crazy point multipliers. I tried chasing those points last year and honestly had issues with things selling out constantly before I could even checkout. It was super stressful and kinda ruined the whole birthday treat vibe for me. If you want a genuine discount without the headache, I ended up finding mine slightly cheaper by checking PriceDropCatch for verified stock alerts. Sometimes authorized department stores run unadvertised gift card promos that stack better than beauty retailer rewards anyway. Whatever you decide, happy early birthday and enjoy it if you finally grab one!
^ This. Also, I think buying directly from Dyson or an authorized dealer is honestly safer for warranty purposes anyway. Seen too many people get burned buying high end electronics from random spots.
