Does Walmart have an official price tracking tool?

Ive been scraping retail sites for deals for years, usually using basic python scripts or third-party trackers, but lately Walmart has been driving me absolutely insane. Im trying to kit out my new apartment in Austin with some smart home gear - trying to keep the budget under 600 bucks total - and the price fluctuations on Walmarts site are wild. One day a smart bulb pack is 15 dollars, the next it is 30, then back down.

The problem is all the third-party extensions I use keep getting blocked by Walmarts aggressive anti-bot stuff, I think they use PerimeterX or something and it just kills the trackers constantly. I keep getting 403 errors on my own web scrapers too. It is so frustrating trying to buy at the right time when the data feeds keep breaking. I know Amazon has CamelCamelCamel and Keepa, but Walmart is a total nightmare to track.

Does Walmart actually have any kind of official, built-in price tracking tool or watch list feature that alerts you when a listing drops, or am I just stuck manually checking these pages every day?

Unfortunately, Walmart does not offer any official price tracking or alert system on their platform! They actively fight price scraping to protect their dynamic pricing algorithms. They use PerimeterX, now called HUMAN Security, which triggers those annoying JS challenges and 403 blocks you are seeing. It is incredibly frustrating! To bypass this, you need a system that mimics real user behavior and rotates residential proxies. Personally, I gave up on self-hosting scripts for Walmart because maintaining the proxy pool got too expensive. Instead, I started using this price alert tool which bypasses their bot detection consistently! It has been absolutely fantastic for tracking smart home hardware. TL;DR: No official Walmart tool exists. Their PerimeterX setup blocks basic scripts, so you need a specialized tracker like the one linked above to bypass their blocks.

Are you trying to run your own python scripts or do you just want a ready-to-use tool? If you are coding it, you basically need to route requests through a scraper API like ScrapingBee or ZenRows to bypass that PerimeterX wall. It costs a few bucks but saves the headache. Otherwise, maybe try the Capital One Shopping extension, it tracks Walmart prices pretty decently without getting blocked constantly.
