How do I get alerts for price drops on Walmart?

Honestly so frustrated with Walmart's app right now. I have been trying to buy this specific Lego Star Wars set for my nephew's birthday next month. My budget is strict, trying to catch it when it dips under $300 because right now it is sitting at $400 and I know it goes on sale occasionally. I have been manually refreshing the page like five times a day and it is driving me absolutely insane.

My logic was that if I added it to my Walmart registry or list, they would naturally send me a push notification or an email when the price dropped. You know, like Amazon does sometimes. But nope, nothing. I just get bombarded with random spam emails about rollbacks on toilet paper and groceries instead of the actual item I care about. It is super annoying.

So then I was thinking about using some third-party tracker. I tried setting up CamelCamelCamel but obviously that is just for Amazon. I looked at Honey but the price tracking feature on there seems super laggy and missed a drop last week that my friend told me about. I am just so tired of manually checking this.

How do you guys actually track Walmart prices? Is there a reliable app or browser extension that actually works in real-time? I need something that will send an email or text the second the price changes so I do not miss it again. I am located in Ohio if that matters for regional pricing, though I think this set is shipped nationally. Really need to get this sorted before the middle of next month.

If you want something reliable that doesn't sell your data, look at Distill.io. It is a browser extension that monitors webpage changes. Since it runs locally on your computer, you dont have to worry about third-party tracker lag or privacy issues. You basically just select the price element on the Walmart product page and set how often you want it to check. I usually set it to check every 15 or 30 minutes. It plays an alert sound or sends an email the second the HTML changes. The catch is your computer needs to be turned on for the free local version to run, though they do have paid cloud options. It takes a tiny bit of setup but it is way more dependable than apps like Honey that rely on cached data.

Man, tracking Lego prices is a total saga. Reminds me of when I spent three weeks monitoring the UCS Venator specs and price API data for my brother. I even registered on PriceDropCatch to scrape the retail endpoints, but dont get me started on retail stock tracking... my local store just randomly put a damaged box version on clearance for 50% off anyway.

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.

I went through this exact same thing trying to hunt down the UCS Millennium Falcon last year. Walmarts own app is completely useless for price drops, they just want to spam you. I think BrickSeek is still the go-to for Walmart, especially for Lego sets. I used their free tier for a while. It is decent because it shows local inventory and online pricing, but the downside is the delay on the free alerts. IIRC, you only get real-time stuff if you pay for their premium plan, which might not be worth it for just one Lego set. Another one I heard about is Glass It. Someone on a Lego forum told me it tracks Walmart prices directly by scraping the page. Not sure how fast their alerts are, but they claim to send email notifications when the price drops. I set up a tracker with them once for a Nintendo Switch bundle. It worked okay, but sometimes these scrapers get blocked by Walmarts bot detection, so it might miss a sudden flash sale. If you want absolute real-time and dont mind a bit of setup, Visualping is a decent option. It basically takes screenshots of the page and emails you when something changes. The pro is that it bypasses a lot of the usual tracker lag, but the con is you only get a few free checks a day.
